6.5oz aerosol
Leather Degreaser effectively removes accumulated or saturated oil stains from leather. Over time, hair or skin oils can absorb into the leather and leave a stain. Oil based stains wick into the leather and saturate to the flesh (back) side of the hide. This often appears as a darkening effect in the contact areas. Leather degreaser is formulated to penetrate into the leather, absorb the stain and lift it into an easily manageable powder.
Pre-test: Spray Leather Degreaser into an inconspicuous area. If the leather is discolored or if you are not satisfied with the result, suspend use.
Directions: On nubuck leather only, spots containing sugar, flour or milk should be cleaned with Nubuck Cleaner first. Remove any excess dirt from fresh spots. Cover the areas that are not to be treated. (Use Remover on Pigmented leather to remove enough of the finish to allow Leather Degreaser to penetrate). Warm the area to be treated with a hair drier to help soften the oils and fats. Shake can thoroughly. Hold the can upright, 6 to 8 inches from the spot. Depress the valve button fully. Spray enough to saturate the spot. Immediately clean the valve by turning the can upside down and spraying until only air is coming out. Let Leather Degreaser dry completely (at least 2 hours, but 6 hours is recommended). Brush away the residual powder using a brush, a sponge or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Some spots may require a second application. On nubuck leather, clean the leather with Nubuck Cleaner, using a sponge.
Routine care: After treatment, protect the leather with the appropriate protector.
